[HELP] How do I make transparent textures by editing .xml?

Hi I like your work amazing maps I was wondering if you could teach me a few things..

Questions:

1.) Can you tell me how to make a "cage" texture? (where you can see the chains like in a chicken fence, and see through the holes)
Example:

2.) Can you teach me how to add different type of lighting? (like what types of Value for lighting make different ammounts of light)

Well for fence effect, I cant realy remember right now wich edits I made in xml for texture, but you can easily find it in my released map gunz-mart.mrs

About lightmap values there is no real teaching or something. you just try diffrent values and find perfect ones for your map. For lights color changing, just select light source and press K then select colour for it.

For the fence:
Open your MapName.rs.xml and edit it like this:

<MATERIAL name="common_wire">
<DIFFUSE>1.00000000 1.00000000 1.00000000</DIFFUSE>
<AMBIENT>1.00000000 1.00000000 1.00000000</AMBIENT>
<SPECULAR>1.00000000 1.00000000 1.00000000</SPECULAR>
<DIFFUSEMAP>common/wire.tga</DIFFUSEMAP>
<USEOPACITY/>
<USEALPHATEST/>

</MATERIAL>

Orange: your texture name..
Red: Add it to your texture/material...
